Import a BOM
- The BOM export produces an Excel file with the bill of material (BOM) data. If you want to import BOM data from another software tool into EVMax, you can use the EVMax export file as a model to build the data extract from the other tool. Importing BOM data from another system into EVMax is recommended, particularly with large, complex hierarchical BOMs.
- You can use the BOM export and import options to create the BOM data. For example, you could enter an initial set of BOM data, export that data, and use Excel functions to copy, add, and edit the rows. Once you have produced the BOM data, you can import the data into EVMax.
